About Karen Wells

I am the part-time library media specialist at Midland High School and teach both journalism and Advanced Placement English Language and Composition.  I have a BA in English 7-12 and a MSE in library media P-12.  I am also licensed to teach Journalism I-IV.  Likewise, I am a National Board Certified teacher in Library Media - Ages Three through Young Adult.

I have been with this district for 30 plus years.  I enjoy my job and love coming to work every day.  Our students are the best!  My favorite times of the day are when I am able to connect a student with just the right book and, of course, my AP and journalism classes.  This year I will publish my 38th yearbook!

What Am I Reading???

I recently finished Nightingale by Kristin Hannah, am reading The Homecoming of Samuel Lake by Arkansas born author Jenny Wingfield, and have Night Roads by Kristin Hannah waiting next in line!

A student recommended Parallel Journeys by Eleanor H. Ayer.
